There are lots of possibilities here.  You can learn to drive by the sea, in the country, in the Scottish mountains, in the Welsh valleys or in rural England.  The list is as endless as your imagination!

At AUTO-SCHOOL we offer the opportunity to learn to drive in and around the English Riviera.  We have a super climate in Torbay. You can view some wonderful blue seas, palm trees, sailing boats, windsurfers, waterskiiers and seagulls!  There is a wide variety of novelty and tourist shops to browse through in your spare time, but our primary aim is to teach you to drive.  H

A residential course allows you to have a bit of a holiday, a change of scenery and generally a less stressful location to learn to drive away from the hustle and bustle of city life.  It enables many students to learn to drive without the embarrassing and often endless jokes about learner drivers!

Courses

Everyone has different requirements so we try to tailor the course to best suit you.  The most common question that we are asked is: "How many lessons will I need?"  This depends on so many factors ie how much driving you have done previously, if you are a total beginner, if you can learn quickly or if you require a lot of time to practise skills that are difficult to master.  Learning any new skill is hard work but it does become easier!  Learning to drive is a lifetime skill.  Statistics show that if good driving practises are taught in the early stages, most of these should remain as a core of your driving skills for the rest of your driving career.

As a general rule, if you have done some driving before or have taken a driving test, a one week course should allow enough time to take your driving up to test standard.  If you have never driven before or if your think you may require extra time, then you should allow 10 - 14 days to complete the course.  In the driving profession it is stated that you can never have too much driving tuition but it is unwise to have too little.  The results can only be as good as the investment.
